External Factors Can Help and Hurt Your Relationships

Friday, January 8th, 2010

Most of what I have written in this blog deals directly with things that go wrong with relationships and steps you can take to try to make things right again. But, we often overlook the power that external factors have in keeping relationships strong and healthy, or breaking them apart.

I am talking about things like personal finances, stress related to unemployment or heavy debt loads, and even personal health issues that you may not realize have an impact on how you treat the people you love. So, every now and then I will include a link to sites that have useful information on things not directly related to personal relationships and your love life, but sort of are related anyway. Here are a few to start out:

Mortgage Refinancing
Find the Right Holiday Gifts
Successful Party Planning
Personal Finances
Investing Your Money Wisely
More Investment Information
Child Custody
Eating Disorders and Treatment
Get Out of Debt
Adult Dyslexia
Dealing With a Difficult Child
Identity Theft

Okay, maybe I got a little carried away there. My point is that you need to consider all aspects of your life when you are trying to solve problems in one aspect, like trying to make a relationship work.
